Bert Walter is a ceramic artist with more than three decades of experience working with clay. After completing a traditional apprenticeship in ceramics, he went on to study at the Institut für Künstlerische Keramik und Glas (IKKG) in Höhr-Grenzhausen before establishing his own studio.
He has participated in ceramic residencies at the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) and the Keramiksymposium Gmunden. His work has been exhibited in Europe and North America and is held in the collections of the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in the Netherlands.
